One of the first pictures I'll be uploading from my trip to Pripyat and Chernobyl. I guess everyone knows that this is the iconic ferris wheel that was only used once, and that was to try to calm the population down when reactor 4 blew up and one of the rally points was here in the fair ground.

 It's been a dream of mine to go photograph Pripyatt (along with everyone else whos done it) how much was it to get there?
I know what you mean I've been waiting to go for 4 years and now I've finally gone sooo happy lol. It was $190 for the tour, although we didn't stay as long in Pripyat as I would have liked.

Sounds like it'd be very very very interesting. How do you get onto it to go there? Where else do you get to go? What was the city like?
There are several places that do tours on Chernobyl, the hostel I'm staying at sorts out tours and is a really good place to stay so if you ever some here I'd recommend it. You just go to the power plant and they explain everything that happened and what the problems they're facing now, the city was slightly creepy it has been left pretty much as it was when all 50,000 people were evactuated although now there are a lot more tours going on so more people are going there and its starting to lose its abandoned feel
