When first looking at this photograph the first thing that stands out is the amazing warmth and saturation of the colours here. The timing was spot on to get the sun just peaking over the clouds and creating a silhouette of the hill in the background.

Composition is also good, the sun is no directly in the middle of the frame like quite a lot of photographers unwittingly tend to do. Cropping was also a good choice since there would be too much open space on either side and would have reduced the impact.

Overall a great shot with good saturation, colours and sharpness giving you that feeling of a wide open space and freedom every landscape should have.
